Pathfinder Irrigation Annonces 2013 Outlook

Pathfinder Irrigation has announced their outlook for the 2013 irrigation season. Based on preliminary information, Pathfinder District is estimating irrigators can anticipate about 60 days of irrigation, but that is subject to change with the variable conditions in the mountains in April and May. A decision on early irrigation deliveries will be made in late April to early May.

As of April 3rd, the Bureau of Reclamation estimated water storage of 299 thousand acre feet for North Platte project . The April - July runoff is estimated at 250 thousand acre feet, for a total estimated supply of 549 thousand acre feet, which is half of a normal full irrigation supply.

The Bureau of Reclamation will present their outlook this Thursday at a public meeting at the University of Nebraska Panhandle Research and Extension Center Auditorium at 10am.
