Hemingford village administrator terminated
The Hemingford Ledger reports today that the Village Board of Trustees Tuesday night, voted in favor of terminating Peggy Sheldon of all positions with the village including administrator, treasurer and clerk.
Sheldon has been on paid suspension since June 5. The board also approved advertising for the position of clerk/treasurer, but made no further comment on the matter. Sheldon had been with the village for over 20 years.
While those positions are now vacant, another has been filled in the village of Hemingford. Also Tuesday night, the board approved the hiring of John Kriz as Utilities Superintendent. The position has been vacant since Dan Swanson's resignation in September of 2011. Kriz had previously held the position of Assistant Utilities Superintendent under Swanson and returned to the village in April working on a part-time as needed basis.
