Alliance woman's death result of massive stroke
An autopsy has determined that an Alliance woman who died in Chadron on the morning of the 4th of July died of a massive stroke.
Dawes County Attorney and Coroner Vance Haug says 32-year old Amanda Preiss was visiting friends in rural Dawes County with her child and a friend...Tanner Littlejohn...when she began to display meical symptoms of distress in the early morning hours..
Haug says Littlejohn took Preiss to Chadron Community Hospital about 5 am, but she was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Toxicology results are pending and not expected for several weeks. Haug says those results and any further pertinent information from the ongoing investigation will be released when appropriate.
