Convicted sex offender charged with repeat offense

A registered sex offender with at least 3 previous convictions of sex crimes against children will appear in Scotts Bluff County Court tomorrow (Tuesday) on a charge of 3rd degree sexual assault of a child, 2nd offense.

51 year old Timothy Fuentes of Scottsbluff is accused of inappropriately touching a 9 year old girl near her residence on Tuesday, August 21st.

According to court documents, after being named as a possible suspect, Fuentes was identified in a photo lineup by the victim. After being interviewed by police investigators, Fuentes was arrested and charged in the case.

Fuentes is being held in the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center pending a first appearance in Scotts Bluff County Court Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
