Tourism leaders discuss how airport can help entice visitors
A group of tourism and economic development leaders met Thursday morning at the Scottsbluff airport to kick around ideas on ways the airport could help to attract tourism to the area.
Airport manager Darwin Skelton says many things were discussed but in general terms. Skelton said one idea was possibly contacting Great Lakes Aviation to see if they would be willing to offer some special fares that could be packaged to help attract tourism. Skelton says the group also talked about promoting hunting fishing and golf junkets to the area.
Skelton is hoping the group can get together again in a few weeks top decide what idea they will pursue.
