Reganis development clears big hurdle
The Scottsbluff city council approved a final revised plat Tuesday night for the relocation of the Reganis Honda dealership to the northeast corner of Highway 26 and 27th Street.
The dealership will be located on a 4.3 acre piece of property, and will be the initial part of a development that is tentatively planned to include a hotel along with possibly a restaurant and retail properties. City Planner Annie Folcks says the dealership will have a separate entrance off of 27th street without the need for a designated left turn lane.
A left turn lane off 27th Street onto a newly constructed 12th Avenue is part of a revised preliminary plan when the rest of the development moves forward.
Folcks says the plat for the Honda dealership also includes tiling Wintercreek Canal, making the area safer and providing a large area for the showcase of cars. Tim Reganis has not indicated a timeline for the project. But Folcks says a redevelopment plan for the Honda property, the final hurdle before construction can begin, should be before the council for their approval in another month.
