Roberto Jurado, 89, Bridgeport
Roberto Jurado, 89, of Bridgeport, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at his home. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at All Soul's Catholic Church in Bridgeport with Father Dave Rykwalder as Celebrant. Interment will be at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held at 6pm on Tuesday at the church. In lieu of any flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorials in Roberto's honor be made in care of the family. Online condolences may be left at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com. Jolliffe Funeral Home in Bridgeport is assisting the family with arrangements.
Roberto was born Feb 1, 1924 in Mexico to Francisco and Ramona (Sosa) Jurado. He married Adela Salas in Torrington, WY and worked in Yoder. They later moved to Bridgeport where he worked until he retired. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved listening to music and playing the harmonica. He was a member of All Soul's Catholic Church and loved spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Adela of Bridgeport; children Mary (Sergio) Gonzales of Scottsbluff, Rachel (Agustin) Ramos of Salina, KS, Shelly Cobabarrubias, Vilma (Hector) Flores, and Sorina Ramos; grandchildren Armando, Randy, Angelica, Jessica, John, Giovanni, Myrna, Tina, Juan, Frank, Rueben, Silvana, Marque, Freddie, Janet, Sandra, Terri, Adrian, Adriana and Mary Belle; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brothers Jimmy Jurado and Francisco Jurado; and sister Romilia Ramos.
His parents, daughter Evon Varela, sister Rita Cardona and brother Jose Jurado preceded him in death.
