Woman sentenced to probation in beating near Sidney
A Virginia woman convicted in the beating of a man found off of I-80 near Sidney was sentenced Thursday by Cheyenne County District Judge Derek Weimer to three years intensive supervised probation . 32 year old Stephanie O'Neal of Lynchburg, Virginia had entered no contest pleas to four counts of compounding a felony.
O'Neal's accomplice, 30 year old Justin Adolph, also from Virginia, had been sentenced previous to 30 to 40 years in prison for pleas to attempted first degree assault and conspiracy to commit first degree assault.
Tommy Crawford was found last June 1st, 2011 severely beaten on the side of Interstate 80 twelve miles west of Sidney. He was in the intensive care unit of Regional West Medical Center but recovered.
Court documents say Crawford, Adolph, and O'Neal met in North Platte and had been traveling together when the beating took place while they stopped in Sidney.
