Torrington native new Miss Wyoming

Miss Goshen County, Lexie Madden, is the new Miss Wyoming. Madden was crowned Saturday night at the pageant in Sheridan, defeating seven other contestants.

Madden, who will be a senior at the University of Wyoming this fall, played the piano as her talent.

Lexie's platform is "Raising Awareness of the Importance of Physical Activity in Youth." Lexie personally is an active young lady; she has long been involved in sports including basketball and volleyball.

Madden was Miss Wyoming Teen in 2009. She is a graduate of Torrington High School and the third native of Torrington to win the pageant. She is the daughter of Lex and Jamie Madden.
