Donald W. Baily, 79, Scottsbluff

On May 6, 2013 Donald W. Baily, 79, of Scottsbluff left this earth in the arms of his grandson to be forever joined in eternity with his son, Jeff.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., May 9, 2013 at Mitchell Berean Church, with Pastor Troy Allen, Reverend Roger Lane and Pastor Bob Haverick officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, with Military Honors rendered by the Nebraska National Guard.

Memorials can be made to the family to be designated at a later date.

Don was born January 19, 1934 in Mitchell to John S. and Katherine (Grief) Baily.

Don served in the Air Force and retired with the Army National Guard. He raised his family alongside Marilyn, at Bailys Bicycle and Key Shop and later at the brother's family grocery store Baily Town and Country. Don and Marilyn spent the last 12 years as fulltime RVer's traveling the country. They loved being campground hosts in Colorado, Kentucky and Texas and have made many great friends along the way, that they so cherish.

The legacy of his life lives on with his wife of 57 years, Marilyn (Pierson); sons, Don (Melody) Baily and Bruce (Terri) Baily; daughters, Denise (Kevin) Skipworth and Jennifer (Troy) Svoboda. The journey moving forward for Don's family will be enjoyed with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, DJ (Kristen) Baily, Jeremy and Jamie Baily, Michael and Carter Baily, Timmy Baily, Daniel (Julie Ann) Baily, Michelle Baily, Greg (Brandi) Baily, Kadie and Lexi Baily, A.J. Leonhardt, Skyler Baily, Katie , Sarah, Rebecca and Jessica Svoboda; brother, Bruce (Virginia) Baily; sister, Betty Lane; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of which will miss him so.
