Colorado man in serious condition following Bluffs accident

A Sterling, Colorado man is listed in serious condition at Regional West Medical Center following an accident at the intersection of South Beltline Highway and Avenue B shortly before 10 a.m. Monday.

Scottsbluff Police say the accident occurred when an eastbound vehicle on the South Beltline Highway driven by 35 year old Grant Ross clipped the rear of another eastbound car turning left onto Avenue B. The second vehicle was pushed into the median while the first vehicle continued east, veering into the parking lot of Commercial Contractors, striking a parked pickup, which slid into another parked pickup. Ross was the only one injured in the accident and was taken to the hospital with facial injuries.

Police believe Ross suffered a seizure and that was the cause of the erratic driving.

The owners of the two pickups were David Curtis of Mitchell and Andy Rubottom of Scottsbluff.
