Bluffs street plan to be presented Monday night
Scottsbluff Director of Public Works Mark Bohl will present the city's one and five year street plan to the city council Monday night. The big project is the over $1 million Avenue I resurfacing, which he says will begin April 1st, weather permitting.
Bohl says the project will include repaving of the street, curb and gutter, ADA, cutouts at the intersection, and replacement of bad sidewalks. The widening of the road by eliminating parking on the west side of Avenue I from West Overland to 20th Street will allow for a center turn lane and better traffic flow.
Other projects on the one year plan include placing left turn lanes at 2nd Avenue and 27th Street for better flow in and out of west side of the Scottsbluff High School and taking over the road network in the planned Reganis development at 27th Street and Highway 26.
