Agnes "Aggie" C. Weaver, 79, Gering

Agnes "Aggie" C. Weaver, 79, of Gering, died Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at The Residency Care Center in Scottsbluff. Her funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Prairie Winds Community Center in Bridgeport with Reverend Joan Phillips officiating. Interment will be at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 4pm until 7pm at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff on Tuesday. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in Agnes's memory be given in care of the family to be designated at a later time. Aggie was born on Sept 16, 1933 in Broadwater, NE to Jake and Alma (Shoopman) Pankowsky. She received her education and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1951. She married Rodney R. Weaver in 1952 in Sidney, NE. She worked for Bridgeport Schools for many years in the cafeteria.

Aggie was a very avid golfer and bowler. She belonged to many bowling leagues and golfed regularly with friends. She recently received her 40 year State Bowling Tournament Pin and plaque. She enjoyed traveling and taking tours throughout the United States and Canada and had visited her children in Australia and Japan. She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her.

Aggie is survived by her daughters Janet (Rick) Barnica, Wendy (Doug) Elder; grandsons Jay (Heather) Barnica, Scott (Anita) Barnica, Jeffrey Barnica, Tyler (Suzanne) Elder, Spencer (Tara) Elder and Andrew (Abby) Elder; granddaughter Mandee (Jon) Goudrault; 3 great granddaughters; 8 great grandsons; bothers Joe Pankowski and Jack Pankowsky; sister in law Dixie Weaver and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband Rodney, son Rick, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and 1 half brother preceded her in death.
