Monument to hold trail planning meeting
The Scotts Bluff National Monument will be holding a public meeting on October 10th to discuss and receive input from the public that will go towards developing a draft trails plan and environmental assessment.
Park Superintendent Ken Mabery says this first step will aim to develop a blueprint that will guide the expansion, restoration, management, operations and use of the trail system and it's associated ammenities over the next 15 years.
Mabery says the input is important in keeping with the purpose, mission and significance of the Scotts Bluff National Monument. That meeting will be held at the Farm and Ranch Museum on October 10th from 6 to 8 p.m.
