Fred A. Schneider May 10th, 1935 - Oct. 13th, 2013. Fred was born in Mitchell, NE. to Phillip and Mildred (Attebery) Schneider. He received his education in the Mitchell school system, and after graduating from Mitchell High School attended the University of Wyoming in Laramie, WY, and Doane College in Crete, NE. After receiving his college education, Fred proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. In 1959 he married Hanke Barthuly. They would have been married 54 years in November. Fred lived out his entire life in the valley.

He was an avid farmer North of Mitchell for many, many years. After retiring he took a knack to wood working making beautiful miniature buckboard wagons and furniture from barn wood. In 2010 Fred and Hanke transitioned to Well Life in Scottsbluff.

He is survived by his wife Hanke, sister Mildred Hill (Scottsbluff), uncle Benny Schneider (Mitchell), son John (Mary) Schneider, Cheyenne, WY., daughter Julie Schneider, Phoenix, AZ, and daughter Stephanie (Tony) Printy, Long Beach, CA., granddaughters Kennedy and Jordan Fain (Phoenix), Cheradyn Schneider (Cheyenne), grandsons Brad and Landon Schneider (Cheyenne), and a brand new 10 day old great grandson Isaiah Jacob (Phoenix). Fred is preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.

Fred was a man of few words, but the impact he has left on our lives speaks loudly.
