Alliance drug take back a success

The Drug Take Back in Alliance and Hemingford on Saturday netted 287 lbs. of prescription medications: 281 lbs. in Alliance and 6 lbs. in Hemingford. In addition, 24 lbs. of sharps were dropped off at the Alliance site.

The Box Butte County Sheriff Office and the Hemingford Police Department assisted with the collections.

Medication dropped off included pill bottles from 1953, 1958 and 1959.

Box Butte General Hospital Pharmacist John Argyle says that people dropping off medications and sharps expressed their thanks and appreciation for the program.
