Bridgeport man arrested on federal drug indictment
After a two-and-a-half month investigation, a 22-year-old Bridgeport man, Jose Luis DeSantiago, Jr., was taken into custody Thursday morning by members of the WING Drug Task Force.
Wing Drug Task Force Commander and Nebraska State Patrol Sergeant Dana Korell says on December 10th, 2013, DeSantiago was indicted by the United States District Court Grand Jury in Omaha, on two counts of distributing multiple ounces of methamphetamine in the Bridgeport area.
An arrest warrant was obtained from the indictment and DeSantiago was taken into custody without incident.
Korell says DeSantiago was a big dealer for anyplace in the panhandle. DeSantiago, who was originally from Los Angeles, has been in Bridgeport since 2008.
Task Force members were assisted by the Nebraska State Patrol and Morrill County Sheriff's Office.
