A 67 year old Scottsbluff man entered not guilty pleas Thursday to three charges related to the sexual assault of a child during his arraignment hearing in Scotts Bluff County District Court.

Rudy Perez is charged with first degree sexual assault of a child, a class 3 felony, and two class 1B felony charges of 1st degree sexual assault of a child as the result of a Scottsbluff Police investigation that began in early April.

Perez is accused of sexual contact and sexually assaulting a child fourteen years of age or younger and sexual contact with a child that is currently twelve years of age.

Court documents say the older child reported in an April interview at CAPstone that Perez had made sexual contact with her in the summer of 2010 and then sexually assaulted her in July of 2012. Both of the incidents allegedly occurred at Perez' home.

The documents also say during an interview conducted by Scottsbluff Police, the younger child discussed the sexual assaults that allegedly occurred between 2004 and 2006 at Perez' house.

Perez is free on 10% of a $50,000 bond and has a tentative pretrial conference scheduled for October 14th with trial tentatively set for the November 3rd jury term.
