Local voter turnout "heavy"
Scotts Bluff County Election Commissioner Vera Dulaney says the election turnout has been very heavy today, with all of the precincts very busy.
Dulaney says there have been a lot of provisional ballots cast today from individuals who are registered voters but forgot to change their addresses, which does create a lot of paperwork and slows things down.
Dulaney says voters need to be patient and they will be standing in line today. In Gering some voters may find they are voting in a different precinct due to the 2010 census. There is a map at the polling place to help you determine which precinct you should be voting in.
Secetary of State John Gale has predicted a 71% turnout statewide. Dulaney feels the county will have at least a 65% voter turnout.
