CASA looking for new Executive Director
CASA of Scotts Bluff County announced Tuesday they are seeking a new Executive Director to head the well-established child advocacy program in Scotts Bluff County.
Board President Katie Camacho says the current Director Kathy Welfl is leaving to take another position. emphasizing she has been " a tremendous asset to our program and has continued to move us forward over the last two years. Welfl says she can't comment on her new position at this time but indicated she "thoroughly enjoyed working for CASA and truly believes in its mission to serve abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system. "

CASA currently has 16 active volunteers serving over 40 children involved in abuse and neglect cases in the juvenile court system. CASA office will be moving to Gering in December where it will be closer to the Court House and DHHS." Specifics on the new location will be released at a later time.
