Gering to host GOP Senate debate

The Nebraska Republican Party has announced a series of debates for the GOP primaries in the state's gubernatorial and U.S. Senate races.

The party says there will be six debates in all _ one debate in each of the state's three congressional districts for each race.

Gering has been selected as a Senate debate site on January 29th. Other Senate debates will be held in Omaha on March 11th and Lincoln April 7th.

In the governor's race, there will be debates on February 19th in Papillion, March 23rd in Broken Bow and April 23rd in Norfolk.

Nebraska GOP Chairman J.L. Spray says the party hopes Republican voters will take the time to attend or watch the debates in preparation for their decision
for 2014.
