Clinton Reeves, 75, Lewellen
Clinton Reeves, 75, of Lewellen, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 10, 2012 at Regional West Health Services Hospital in Scottsbluff.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Community Wesleyan Church in Lewellen with Pastor Lynn Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in the Ash Creek Cemetery north of Lewellen.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 4:00 pm. to 6:00 p.m. at the Holechek Funeral Home in Oshkosh.
Memorials are suggested to the Community Wesleyan Church in Lewellen.

Clinton LeRoy Reeves was born on December 1, 1936 in Lewellen Nebraska to Clinton Thomas and Ruth Hope (West) Reeves. He attended rural grade schools around Lewellen before graduating from Lewellen Rural High School in 1955.
After school he worked on a ranch for a time until he entered the service in Oct of 1960. He was united in marriage to Grace Ellen Wilson on June 25th, 1960. The couple then moved to Virginia Beach with the Army after he completed his training in Ord, California. In the service he worked on the missile sites as a chauffeur for the officers. After he completed army duties the couple moved to Idaho where he worked for the forestry Dept. for at time. From Idaho they moved to Wyoming where Clint worked as an oiler for the Road Dept. Clint and Grace returned to Nebraska to help his family build irrigation ditches. After the ditches were complete his brother and Clint worked at trucking for local famers and the feed yards. In 1976 Clinton bid in a Star Mail Route from the U.S. Postal Dept and worked at carrying mail through the sandhills for twenty-two years before retiring in June of 1998.
Clinton, along with his wife Grace, began their spiritual journey at a Church Revival in Idaho about 1963 or 1964. They served God for the rest of their lives witnessing to many by their example. They became members of the Community Wesleyan Church after moving to settle in the Lewellen area. Clinton used his musical talent by playing his harmonicas and his accordion in the church, the rest homes, assisted Living and other entertainment.
After Grace's passing in 1993, Clinton was united in marriage to Eva(Thornton) Cheney on June 22, 1996 in Community Wesleyan Church. Clinton and Eva enjoyed 16 wonderful years together. They enjoyed fishing and riding the motor bike together and traveling in their motor home. Clinton especially enjoyed hunting geese and ducks with Charles Cheney. He truly enjoyed all his family and had a special place for each of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Reeves of Lewellen; 4 step-sons, Allen and wife, Kim Cheney of Guthrie Center, Iowa, Drs Ron and wife Karla Cheney of Carroll, Iowa, Rylan and wife Amy Cheney of Cody Nebraska and Randal and Candice Cheney of Vancouver, Washington; 3 step-daughters, Roxane and husband, Ron Lauber of North Platte, NE and twin step daughters Florence and Florise of Arizona; 4 brothers, Thomas Reeves of Lewellen, Steve and wife, Barbara Reeves of Falls of Rough, KY; Jim and wife Peggy Reeves of Lewellen and Mike and wife Toni Reeves of Cheyenne, WY; 4 sisters, Ruth Payton of London, AR; Linda Blake of Boise, ID; Sally and husband, Steve Peet of Ft. Calhoun, NE, and Susan and husband John Wilson of Cheyenne, WY; One brother-in-law, Don Alexander of Julesburg, CO; 24 grandchildren and 1 foster grandson; 4 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace in 1993; his parents; an infant sister, Lana Kay; and 2 brothers and 1 sister, Gary, Theron and Jackie.
