Kimball City Administrator resigns
The City Administrator of Kimball has resigned.
Harold Farrar said he submitted his resignation to Mayor James Schnell about two weeks ago, and was asked to stay for three months while the city searches for a replacement.
His resignation will be effective December 14th.
The City Council is expected to officially accept the resignation at their meeting Tuesday night.
Farrar, who has worked for the City of Kimball for over 18 years, said that he has no plans right now, but would like to stay in Kimball.
In his resignation letter, Farrar said that his priorities are with his family, and that he cannot devote the amount of time needed to the position.
He said he was grateful to the Mayor, City Council, and the community for the support shown to his family the past few years.
Farrar has been the Kimball Administrator since 2006, but served as the city's Clerk/Treasurer starting in 1994. Prior to that, Farrar spent five years as the City Administrator/Clerk/Treasurer in Curtis.
The City has begun advertising for a new administrator.
