Nationstar Mortgage to add 200 employees in 2013
Nationstar Mortgage says it is ready to hire additional employees at its Scottsbluff branch. During an open house and Business After Hours Thursday evening Nationstar Executive Vice President Kim Greaves said the company plans to add 200 employees in 2013, bringing the number of workers here to well over 500.
Greaves says there is a lot of mortgage servicing experience among the local residents, and asked former employees who may have been laid off or were not rehired when the company bought Aurora Bank last March to consider applying for the new jobs.
Greaves says Nationstar needs the workers because of its recent purchase of 1.3 million loans from Bank of America, which will make Nationstar the fourth largest mortgage servicing firm in the world. Greaves says Nationstar plans to continue to grow and would like to eventually fill the local building that could accommodate as many as 900 employees.
Nationstar will hold a Job Fair at a yet to be announced date while encouraging those interested in the new jobs to go to the company's job website www.Nationstarmtg.com/ careers to apply.
