Crimestoppers looking for help on rural burglaries

The Minatare Police Department and the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's office are asking for the public's help in solving two residential burglaries.

Last Friday a Melbeta resident called the Sheriff's Office to report a burglary in which cash, camera equipment and jewelry were taken. Then Monday a Minatare resident reported their home had been entered and cash, checks, and a money order had been taken.

Sheriff's investigator Rick Spencer said both burglaries occurred during the day, similar items were taken and entry was gained by forcing open a door in each case.

People with any information are encouraged to call Scotts Bluff County Crime Stoppers at 632-7867.
