Harold J. Ring, 83, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home in Torrington.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, March 27, at St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska with Reverend Ralph C. Morris officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church.

Harold was born June 16, 1929 in Lyman, Nebraska the son of Jacob and Eva (Winemaster) Ring. He grew up in the Lyman area and attended school at Lyman and then graduated from Huntley High School in 1947. He farmed in the Huntley-Lyman area until he entered the U.S. Army. He was discharged from the Army May 23, 1953. He then farmed south of Huntley until he retired in 2002 and moved to Torrington.
Harold served on the Huntley School Board as well as the Holly Sugar Beet Growers Board for several years. He was an avid bowler and he liked to hunt and fish.
Harold is survived by his daughter Rhonda (Gary) Kern of Torrington; daughter Deanne Ring of Ogallala, Nebraska; brother Larry J. (Mary Ann) Ring of Alliance, Nebraska; sister Eleanor Kimrey of Aurora, Colorado; and his grandchildren Stacey Kern and her fiancé Clayton Scholl of Laramie, Wyoming and Kylee (Alex) Willoughby of Timnath, Colorado.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife Elsie.
