Timothy Stafford, 67, Mitchell
Timothy Stafford, 67, of Mitchell, died Friday, January 18, 2013. At his request, cremation has taken place at Jolliffe Funeral Home and Crematory in Scottsbluff. His Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 26 at the Mitchell American Legion where there will be a time of fellowship and refreshments. A private family inurnment will be held at Mitchell City Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorials be given to Panhandle Humane Society. Tim was born April 6, 1945 in Scottsbluff to Arnold and Dorothy Lavonne (Warthen) Stafford. He received his education and graduated from Scottsbluff High School. He married Jo Ann Debus on July 25, 1965 and they were happily married for 45 years. He was a loving husband and father.
Tim was a member of the National Guard and Captain of the Scottsbluff Fire Department. After his retirement from the Fire Department, he then worked at Panhandle COOP. He had a passion for the outdoors which included fishing and hunting. He dedicated his life to public service and caring for those he loved.
He is survived by his son Jeff (Darci) Stafford of Tensleep, WY; 3 sisters-in-law; 1 brother-in-law and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
His parents, wife Jo Ann, brother Bill Stafford and sister Viki Cofelt preceded him in death.
