Kimball woman accused of theft from Social Security
A 73 year old Kimball woman is accused of fraudulently receiving Social Security payments in excess of $177,000 since 1998.
A release from U.S. Attorney Deborah Gilg says Lois Louise Powell is charged with theft of social security funds from on or about January 13, 1998 to on or about July 24, 2013.
The maximum possible penalty if convicted, is imprisonment of 10 years, a fine of $250,000, 3 years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment.
