Masterton to serve 13th year as county board chair

The Scotts Bluff County Commissioners will have the same chairman again for the 13th straight year. Mark Masterton was unanimously retained in the position by his colleagues Monday night.

The commissioners say it is nice to have someone in the position with the knowledge and experience to help run the county, and Masterton says it is mostly a matter of continuity.

The commissioners also recognized County Clerk Vera Dulaney with a plaque and a gift certificate honoring her thirty years with the county..... the board saying she is like a sixth commissioner.

Jeff Schledewitz was also recognized for his ten years with the county as the weed superintendent.
