Dennis served many years in the Lyman Volunteer Fire Department. He greatly loved fishing and could tell many fish stories, mostly true. He loved his many dogs over the years, as they were a apart of the family, and he valued family above all. He spoiled all of his dogs and all of the grand-dogs as well. Dennis was dedicated to Husker football, volleyball and women's basketball. He also enjoyed his yard and garden, which were sources of pride to him.
