Josephine "Josie" Orozco, 65, Scottsbluff

Josephine 'Josie' Orozco, 65, of Scottsbluff passed away March 3, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center. As per her request cremation has taken place.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Phil Flott officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to donor's choice.

Josephine was born March 19, 1947 in Mitchell, Nebraska to Joe and Edna (Martinez) Vega. She graduated from Scottsbluff High Scholl and then attended and graduated nursing school in Alliance, Nebraska.

Josephine married Rudy Orozco on June 8th, 1968 at Our Lady of Guadalupe and the couple made their home in Scottsbluff.

Josie was a very caring and loving person who enjoyed various crafts and watching western movies.

Josie is survived by her son, Robert James Orozco of Gering; daughter, Rebecca Jo Orozco-Ozvat of Durango, Colorado; parents, Joe and Edna Vega of Scottsbluff; brothers, Jack (Lisa) Vega of Scottsbluff and Jerry (Diane) Vega of Houston, TX; and grandchildren Tyler and Brianna Ozvat of Durango, Colorado.

Josie is preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Orozco and brother, James Vega.
