Edith "Edie" Irene (Ross) Cudaback, 82, entered into rest Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff.

A celebration of Edie's life will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Robidoux RV Park Recreation Center, 5855 Five Rocks Road, Gering.

Edie was born to William Decatur and Rose Matilda (Widstrand ) Ross on April 17, 1931, in Hershey, Nebraska. She grew up on the Birdwood Table north of Hershey with her three sisters and four brothers. Upon graduating from high school she went to cosmetology school in Omaha.

On September 23, 1955, she married Elmer LaVern Cudaback at First Christian Church in North Platte. They had five children. Edie loved cooking, baking, sewing, and playing Skipbo with grandkids. She also had a special place in her heart for her dogs.

Edie is survived by her husband, Elmer Cudaback; daughters, Yvonne Marlene (Bill) Kleich, Carolyn Lee (Don) Carlyle, Debra Jo (Herman) Schol III, Tamie Kay (Robert) Schol, and Sheryl Lynne (Kenneth) Schulte; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Edie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lonnie, Howard, Steve, and Willie; sisters Hazel, Lil, and Berniece; mother-in-law, Lena Cudaback; and father-in-law, Maurice Cudaback.
