Bill Tallmon dies at the age of 75

One of Nebraska's leading jewelers and gemologists has died. Bill Tallmon died at his home Monday night at the age of 75.

Bill was known as the owner of Tallmon Jewelry in downtown Scottsbluff, which opened in 1962. Bill was still involved as a jeweler at the store as late as last year.

Tallmon was the former director of the Nebraska/South Dakota Jeweler's Association, former president of the Scottsbluff/Gering United Chamber of Commerce and was awarded Retail Merchant of the Year for the state of Nebraska.

At Tallmon's 's request there will be no public visitation or memorial service. Memorials can be made to the WNCC Scholarship Fund. Tributes of Sympathy may be left at
