A 36 year old man who fled from a Nebraska State Patrol trooper in February will serve two to three years in prison. Timothy Trujillo had entered no contest pleas to 2nd offense felony driving under suspension and flight to avoid arrest.

A state trooper attempted to stop Timothy Trujillo's vehicle for a broken tail light when he fled, eventually crashing into a utility pole then running on foot. Trujillo was apprehended with the assistance of a citizen who slowed him down. Court documents say Trujillo gave a false name before the Patrol was able to determine through tattoos and photos that he was the suspect.

Judge Leo Dobrovolny handed down the sentence.
