Frances F. Stricker, 98, Torrington
TORRINGTON, WY. Frances F. Stricker, 98, died Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Goshen Care Center in Torrington.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, at the Our Savior Lutheran Church with Reverend Scott Firminhac officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington.
Memorials may be made to the Our Savior Lutheran Church in Torrington.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home and prior to the service at the church.

Frances was born May 9, 1915, in Crosby, North Dakota the daughter of Ralph and Amila (Hilfer) Fleck. The family moved to Yoder, Wyoming when Frances was 7 years old. She attended school in Cottier, WY (between Veteran and Torrington). She married Fred Stricker on February 14, 1941 in Scottsbluff, NE. The couple lived in Huntley for 8 years then bought a farm north of Torrington and farmed there until 1975. At that time, they moved to town. Frances volunteered at the Care Center for 2 years, while Fred was a resident there. The two enjoyed their time together until he passed away in 1999.
Frances enjoyed quilting, crocheting, bingo, cards, reading, painting and coloring. She also liked being a seamstress. She was a member of the Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son Tom Stricker of Denver, CO; daughter Sally Fogle of Torrington; daughter Sharon Howe of Torrington; son Mike Stricker of Torrington; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Fred Stricker; four brothers, Harry, George, Mike and Tony Fleck; and three sisters, Rose Miller, Ann Stricker, and Bertha Brockel.
