Bluffs council to interview council candidates
The Scottsbluff City Council Monday evening said they will interview the five candidates seeking to fill the seat on the council vacated by Mike Deibert this Thursday evening and Friday afternoon.
Following the same process that was used recently to select councilman Mark McCarthy, each candidate will be interviewed by two council members, and then by the other two council members.
The candidates are Liz Hilyard, Pete Marez, Michael Mawhinney, Dennis Duffield, and F. Jordan Colwell.
Following the interview process, the council hopes to name the new council member at the December 2nd council meeting.
The individual selected will then serve on the council until December 2014 unless elected to continue in the seat during the November 2014 general election.
