Bluffs council pushes back decisions on two properties

The Scottsbluff city council has pushed back decisions on the sale of two city properties pending additional research.

The council received two sealed bids for the steel building on the Auroral Loan Services property, both either slightly over or at the minimum $400,000 bid. City Manager Rick Kuckkahn says before the council makes a decision on the bids by 21st Century Equipment and Ron Bright, the council would like legal advice on what to do with the confidential corporate information in the sealed bids.

Kuckkahn says the information may be run through the city's L.B. 840 committee prior to consideration again by the council.

Kuckkahn says the council is also requiring additional negotiations with ABCD Land Partners to purchase 43 acres in the Immigrant Trails subdivision, which is an industrial site near Sargent Irrigation. Kuckkahn says the city will talk with Twin Cities Development, which also has interest in the property.
