Judith Alice (Fullen) Wilkie, 62, of Alliance, died Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Heart Center of the Rockies in Poudre Valley Hospital in Loveland, CO. At her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Her memorial service will be held at 10am on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor Matt Parker officiating. There will be a private family inurnment at the Hemingford Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorials in Judi's honor be made in care of the Nebraska Children's Home Society. Online condolences may be left and memorial candles may be lit in Judy's memory at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com. Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 24th, 1950 in Scottsbluff to Norman and Alice (Marten) Fullen. She received her education and graduated from Scottsbluff High School and then from WNCC in 1971. She married Myron Wilkie on December 5, 1976 in Scottsbluff. After her and Myron were married, they lived on the family ranch in Sioux County. She joined the Log Cabin community Club and she learned to love the country life, caring for her many cats and chickens. Watching all the native wild animals, while raising two children and helping work the ranch.
Judi loved to study history, learning something about the past of many subjects. She accompanied her children and their school mates across most of Nebraska learning Nebraska history while building a large library of information at home. Always wanting to learn more about family and community.
Judi was a member of Jobs Daughters and the Dome Rock Chapter of Eastern Star holding all chapter positions and being Worthy Matron.
She is survived by her husband Mryon Wilkie now of Alliance; son Matt Wilkie; daughter Shauna Wilkie all of Alliance; and brother Jim Fullen of Rapid City, SD.
Her parents preceded her in death.
