Sidney woman pleas not guilty to child abuse

SIDNEY, Neb. (AP) _ A Sidney woman has pleaded not guilty to abusing a 2-month-old at her in-home day care.

Radio station KSID reports that Nancy Gipfert's attorney made the plea for her on Wednesday in Cheyenne County District Court.

Gipfert was arrested in May. The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services had issued an emergency order pulling Gipfert's child care license days in September, after a 2-month-old child in Gipfert's care had been hospitalized.
