McBride burglary trial continues Wednesday
Testimony will continue Wednesday in the trial of a 39 year old man accused of burglary. A jury trial began Monday for Tony McBride, who is accused of burglarizing a rural residence in Scotts Bluff County in January of 2011.
30 year old Jonas Nolde was already sentenced last June to 18 months probation after entering a no contest plea to a lesser charge of attempted burglary in exchange for testimony in McBride's case.
Court documents say a neighbor reported a strange pickup at the rural residence when it was burglarized January 27th of 2011, leading authorities to collect tire tracks and foot prints. Then in February of 2012, a Scottsbluff pawn shop reported two of the stolen items were sold by Nolde, resulting in him becoming a suspect and the discovery of the suspicious pickup at his residence, an interview and his subsequent arrest.
