Lake Minatare 6th graders to be at BMS in the fall

(Bluffs Middle School entrance)

Just over a dozen 6th grade students from Lake Minatare School will be attending classes at Bluffs Middle School in Scottsbluff next year.

Superintendent Rick Myles says students at all of the other schools in the District have already made the move and it has been very successful in creating a smoother transition into high school for those students. Myles says it allows students to create friendships, have access to the same curriculum, and advance in the same way as everyone else.

Myles says the move was supported by Lake Minatare Principal Karen Johnson, who discussed it with the parents and the students to receive an overall consensus on the idea.
