Lummis, Barasso heavy favorites in Wyo election
Wyoming's two congressional races feature well-known and well-funded incumbent Republicans against Democratic challengers who have campaigned on a shoestring. U.S. Sen. John Barrasso and Rep. Cynthia Lummis are heavy favorites to beat their challengers. Laramie County Commissioner Tim Chesnut is challenging Barrasso, while Casper Community College political science instructor Chris Henrichsen is running against Lummis.
Wyoming voters will decide three constitutional questions in today's general election. One proposal would amend the state Constitution to specify that competent adults have the right to make their own health care decisions. A second proposal would specify that the state will preserve citizens' opportunities to hunt, fish and trap. The third amendment would expand the powers of district court commissioners.
