Hurry to get campsite at Lake Minatare
If you are planning on spending the weekend at the Lake Minatare recreation area this weekend, you need to get there and save a campsite. Lake Minatare Superintendent Dan Thornton says people starting reserving sites as early as sixty days ago for the Memorial Day holiday. All the electrical sites are reserved and many of the first come, first serve sites have been taken
Thornton says the Butte View and Westwood areas still have primitive sites available and he suggests getting a camper out to the lake as early as possible Thursday evening or Friday morning.
Thornton says the lake has already had a lot of use with the warm weather, and people have reported good fishing. Swimming, boating, and water skiing are all available at the lake this weekend.
