Bluffs man arrested for meth distirbution
A Scottsbluff man has been arrested for distributing methamphetamine from his home in west Scottsbluff
27 year old James Halstead was taken into custody at West Overland and Avenue I on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute methamphetamine and two misdemeanor marijuana violations.
The arrest took place Monday after WING Drug Task force investigators followed up on complaints from neighbors that a number of young men were visiting the home for a short time before leaving.
The investigators along with officers from Scottsbluff Police and the Nebraska State Patrol searched Halstead's trash Monday and found suspected traces of methamphetamine. A search warrant was then obtained for the home, where a number of items associated with drug distribution, including baggies with marijuana and methamphetamine residue, were seized
