Helen was born June 16, 1915, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Henry and Susan (Hessler) Nagel. She attended school in Scottsbluff. She was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Green from Scottsbluff in November 1932. They lived most of their married life in Scottsbuff. Helen enjoyed crocheting many doilies and afghans for her children and grandchildren. She loved to play bingo and many other games in the Care Center. She was always a good sport but very competitive, often winning. Her favorite sport to watch on TV was baseball and if they didn't win she always thought they "needed a new pitcher." She really enjoyed living in The Residency Care Center and would always comment on the good care that she received there.
Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of over 50 years. She was baptized when she became a member of the church.
Helen loved her children and grandchildren so much. One of the things she could do was cook and bake and she loved doing it. She always cooked big Sunday dinners when the children and grandchildren were there.
