KNEB awarded for CAPstone campaign

KNEB was the recipient of an award from the Nebraska Broadcaster's Association at their annual banquet Thursday evening in Lincoln.

Production Director Chris Cottrell accepted a silver award for Service To Children for the station's CAPstone Child Advocacy Center public service announcement campaign.

CAPstone provides a Panhandle-wide coordinated multidisciplinary approach to the problems of child victimization, and offers a child friendly and family-oriented center for victimized children.

Jayson Jorgensen, from KNEB's sister station, KRVN in Lexington, received a bronze award for Best Sportscast.
