Fitts resigns as Director of CAPstone
The director of Scotts Bluff County's CAPstone program has resigned.
CAPstone Board Chair Brian Wasson confirmed to KNEB News that Debi Fitts submitted her resignation last week. Wasson says the board is very appreciative of what Fitts did in a little less than two years, noting she assisted in reorganizing staff responsibilities and was instrumental in hiring a much needed full-time interviewer.
Fitts says with twelve grandchildren, she wants to spend more time focusing on family.
Fitts will stay on as the Executive Director of the child advocacy center through the end of this month. Wasson says the board will meet next week and begin the search to replace Fitts as soon as possible. He admits it is "pretty involved" and could easily take two months to find the best candidate for the position.
Wasson does not know at this time who might serve in the position on an interim basis.
