Betty Jo Kreman, 79, Scottsbluff

Betty Jo Kreman, 79, of Scottsbluff, died Thursday, June 27, 2013 at her home. At her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Her memorial service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the Mitchell Berean Church with Pastor Matt Parker officiating. In lieu of any flowers, memorials in Betty's honor may be made in care of the Harrison Bible Church/Harrison Rodeo Camp, or to Prairie Haven Hospice. Online condolences may be left at Jolliffe Funeral Home and Crematory in Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born on June 5, 1934 in Sioux County to Vernon and Elizabeth (Rohde) Keener. She attended Victory Hill School and graduated from Sunflower High School. She married John Kreman on December 20, 1953 in Scottsbluff and they moved to Victorville, CA for 2 years where John was stationed in the Air Force. While in California, their son Allan was born. After John's discharge from the service, they moved back to Scottsbluff where their son Arlyn and daughter JoAnn were born. They resided north of Scottsbluff until present day.

Betty was a member of the Victory Hill Women's Extension Club, Good Sam's Camping, and the Women's VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed being a house wife and mother, but also over the years worked weighing beets and a pilot car driver for transporting mobile homes. She liked baking, knitting, camping, laughing, enjoyed playing games and cards with neighbors and friends; but especially loved spending time with family and hosting family gatherings and holiday's at her home. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband John; sons Allan (Diann) Kreman and Arlyn (Shirley) Kreman both of Bayard; daughter JoAnn (Jim) Schneider of Morrill; grandchildren Tim (Kari) Schneider, James (Fawn) Schneider, Ken (Kate) Schneider, Trevor Schneider, Mickayla Schneider, Aaron (Heather) Kreman and Justin (Kacey) Kreman; 11 great grandchildren; sister's in law Audrey Keener, Leona Keener, Francis Olbricht and Faye Kreman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents Vernon and Elizabeth Keener, father and mother in law Glen and Bessie Kreman, siblings Virginia Norine, Vernon Keener, Harold Keener and Lena Gable, and granddaughter Holly Kreman-Siegfried preceded her in death.
