Aileen Alice Andersen passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance. A memorial service will be at a later date, with inurnment in the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport. She was born Sept. 21, at Winner, S.D., the seventh of eight children born to Henry John and Pearl Ann (Becker) Brehding. She received her education at Winner and at Norfolk, Neb. She was married to Ray Ola Andersen on Sept. 21, 1947, at Winside. The couple lived at Grand Lake, Colo, Nyssa, Ore, and Parma, Idaho, before moving to Northport, where she lived until November 2008, when she moved to Wildflower Terrace at Alliance, where she lived until the time of her death.
She worked as a telephone operator, nurses' aide and bookkeeper. She was employed at Bun's Drug for over 22 years. When the store was sold, she worked part-time at Sonny's Pharmacy and the Bridgeport Nutrition Site. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church at Broadwater; served as president of The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 29, and later joined Alliance Unit 7 American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her daughters Luayne (Raymond) Weisgerber of Alliance, Jerilyn Andersen of Nebraska, and Raymalee (Alan) Allman of Bedford, Texas; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her four-year-old daughter Kendra Lea, husband, brother Louis, and sisters Clara Werkmeister, Wilma Shriber, Edna Paulson, Alma "Dolly" Schaub, Vera McFadden and Agnes Heiner.
