Salesman admits to groping woman

A 45 year old man has entered a guilty plea to the third degree sexual assault of a woman in a Scottsbluff restaurant parking lot.

Court documents indicate Tim Alsup was speaking lewdly to the woman and then reached into her car, groping her. When she confronted him after getting out of the car, he is accused of inappropriately touching her, kissing her on the neck and hugging her while simulating a sexual encounter.

Alsup, a door to door salesman with no confirmed address, was then contacted at a local motel where he was staying. He denied the accusations, but the victim and a witness to the incident were then contacted and identified Alsup as the man who had assaulted the victim.

Alsup, who could get a year in jail, will be sentenced November 14th.
